Woman's kidnapping triggers more abductions
Both sides have registered FIRs against each other.

Four women of a family were kidnapped on Friday by relatives of another girl who was abducted earlier in the day from Chamkani. A police official said Juggan* was allegedly kidnapped for marriage by Akhtar Shah Afridi from Turnab Farm on Friday evening. Juggan’s brothers Wajid, Sajjad and Amjad, along with their friend Shahid, raided Khan’s house in Urmar and kidnapped his female relatives Zahida*, Zara*, Yousra* and Rafia*. A jirga of local elders was quickly assembled to decide the matter in the wee hours of Saturday after which Juggan’s brothers agreed to release two girls of the four girls, reported to be Shah’s daughters. “We tried our best to locate the girls but the accused men are hiding somewhere while Juggan and her kidnappers have also disappeared,” said the police official. Both sides have registered FIRs against each other.
