A full house: Weapons found from arrested gamblers

KARACHI: Clifton police have recovered a hand grenade and a 30-calibre pistol with three rounds from a house on Saba Avenue within the remits of Darakhshan police  station on Friday night. Darakhshan police SHO Zawwar Hussain told The Express Tribune that the house was being used as a gambling den for a month. The weapons were recovered from one of the gamblers, Junaid Umar, while a total of Rs60,000 was recovered from the 14 alleged gamblers. A case has been registered at the police station, on behalf of the state, on charges of gambling and possession of illegal weapons.
