Electricity price to go up by Rs2.24 per unit
Increased price will be applicable on consumers of all power distribution companies except K-Electric.

Increase in the price of electricity by Rs2.24 per unit has been approved by the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA), Express News reported Thursday afternoon.
The approval came after the Central Power Purchasing Agency’s (CPPA) requested NEPRA to raise the per unit price of electricity.
The increased price will be applicable on consumers of all electric power distribution companies in the country except K-Electric, formerly KESC.
The increase will show up as “Fuel Adjustment Charges” from the January billing cycle onwards.
