Misappropriation: Five Education Dept officials including EDO suspended
District coordination officer had taken notice of the matter and found officials guilty in an initial inquiry.

The provincial government has suspended Executive District Officer (Education) Shahida Sohail and four other Education Department officials over alleged misappropriation of funds, misconduct and poor performance.
Sohail, Deputy District Officers (DDOs) Faqeer Muhammad and Saima Khan, and Junior Clerk Muhammad Saeed were suspended for their alleged involvement in misappropriation of school development funds, an Education Department official speaking on the condition of anonymity told The Express Tribune.
“Education Secretary Abdul Jabbar Shaheen and the district coordination officer had taken notice of the matter and found them guilty in an initial inquiry,” he said. He said Sohail had also been accused of misappropriating funds raised through school fairs, bogus development schemes and purchase of school items. Vehari EDO (Education) Waheedud Din Shah has been appointed the EDO Education Faisalabad, he said. The official said that the inquiry reports had been sent to Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
