Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has vowed that he, along with his party workers, will donate their food to those affected by the drought in Tharparkar and will not rest until each and every person in the area is fed.

Bilawal said that his party will ensure that every child of the area receives healthcare. The PPP leader said that strict action will be taken against a person at any level if he is found negligent.  In statement posted on Twitter, Bilawal also criticised the decision by Council of Islamic Ideology, allowing men to have more than one marriage.

Taking a swipe at the council, he said its decisions are tantamount to draconian laws. He also said that Imran Khan’s apology on the Taliban’s affairs is unjustified. Tehreek-e-Insaf should not stay silent on Taliban’s threats.  Commenting on the drought, Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon said that people in Thar are in a crisis but the problem is not as big as it is being projected.
