Helping hand : Bahria Town to donate for Thar

The aid will be provided to families as part of the organisation’s charter for social responsibility.

KARACHI: Malik Riaz Hussain, the chairperson of Bahria Town, has announced Rs500,000 each for the families of the deceased children in Tharparkar.

The aid will be provided to families as part of the organisation’s charter for social responsibility. Earlier, the Bahria Town Tharparkar Relief Mission dispatched ambulances, mobile hospitals, water tanks, doctors, paramedical staff as well as food and medicine supplies to Mithi and Chichro, where they established their main base camps.

A Bahria Dastarkhawan was also established in Mithi in front of Civil Hospital and is serving free meals twice a day to citizens. A party of the relief mission has now moved to Nagarparkar where they will establish a second Bahria Dastarkhawan. The affected families may contact the Bahria Town helpline at 0800-00100.
