Extortion: Case registered for threat

Police registered a case against unidentified persons for threatening a businessman with abduction if he does not pay a huge sum of money.
According to police, Nasir Basher a property dealer residing in Sector G-15 lodged a complaint that unidentified persons claiming themselves to be part of a banned terrorist organisation asked for Rs15 million failing which, he said, they threatened to abduct either him or his son.
The Tarnol Police Station SHO Aslam Kalyar when contacted said he had no knowledge of any such case but the officials at the police station confirmed registering a case against unidentified persons.
