An estate officer of the administration department on Friday offered clarification on a news item published in some sections of the press which claimed that the chief minister (CM) has three houses allotted to himself.
According to a handout issued on Friday, the official said the government has established a complaint cell and an investment promotion cell for which two houses were converted into official accommodations.
The official clarified that the CM is presently residing in an annex and no other house is under his occupation. He said CM’s adviser Haji Qalandar Lodhi has recently been allotted house no. 7/9 on Jheel Road while house no. 6/9 is under the occupation of Malakand Deputy Commissioner Amjad Ali Khan.
Due to a typographical error in the document provided to the provincial assembly, house no. 6/9 was reflected as being allotted to Lodhi but he has not occupied that residence.
