Public money: Govt contractor pays compensation
PWD contractor accused of misappropriating funds submits a Rs10 million pay order in court on Friday.

A Pakistan Public Works Department (Pak PWD) contractor accused of misappropriating public funds submitted a Rs10 million pay order in a court on Friday. Contractor Haji Ismail told the court that he had already informed the FIA and the district coordination officer of his willingness to pay Rs10 million. Ismail is accused of misappropriating Rs10 million from the construction of a community centre in Manga Mandi. The court had earlier issued notices to the DCO, a PWD executive engineer and an FIA investigation officer to appear before the court on March 10, 2014.
