Islamabad attack: FO denies PM pointed finger at RAW
Certain media reports attributed these statements to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
ISLAMABAD:
Foreign Office Spokesperson Tasnim Aslam has rejected a statement attributed to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in certain media reports that India Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) could be involved in the recent terrorist attack on a district courts complex in Islamabad. In her weekly news briefing, she described the recent meeting of the Joint Working Group of Pakistan and India to discuss confidence building measures related to Kashmir as ‘constructive.’ She also said the Pakistani side demanded the release of the detained driver since investigations into the allegations levelled against him cannot move forward unless he was released.
