Balochistan unrest: Policeman shot dead in Naushki
Senior police officer says it was targeted attack, “there is no other apparent motive for this murder.”

Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) police was shot dead by unknown assailants in Naushki district, 130-kilometer off Quetta, on Thursday. Abdul Hakeem an officer at Nauhski Police Station said that ASI Naseer Ahmed had gone to the local market when unidentified assailants on a motorbike opened fire at him. “Ahmed received multiple bullet wounds and died instantly,” Hakeem told The Express Tribune. The attackers fled from the scene unchallenged, he said. Police and personnel of other law enforcement agencies rushed to the spot and shifted the body to District Headquarters Hospital. A senior police officer on the condition of anonymity said it was a targeted attack, “there is no other apparent motive for this murder.”
