In protest: Employees want higher salaries
Class-IV employees have being ignored and despite many protests, no government had resolved their issues.
MINGORA:
Class-IV employees protested in front of the Swat Press Club on Thursday in favour of their demands.
Holding placards and banners, the protesters, led by All Swat Class-IV Association President Syed Khitab, marched from the district administration office till the press club.
Khitab, during his address to the protesters, said Class-IV employees have being ignored and despite many protests, no government had resolved their issues.
He added even though they work overtime, they are still paid less than all other employees. “We stand guard outside schools, colleges and other government offices around the clock and are paid Rs12,000 a month,” he said, adding they cannot make both ends meet.
Giving a month’s deadline, he said if their demands were not met, they will take their protest to Peshawar.
