Targeted raids: 111 more suspects apprehended

Rangers report arresting six suspects, while police officials apprehended 105 suspects.

KARACHI: Law enforcement agencies in the city claimed on Wednesday that they had arrested 111 more suspects during ongoing targeted raids in the city.

Rangers said that at least half dozen suspects were arrested from Sahibdad Goth, Bhittaiabad, New Muzaffarabad Colony, Pareshan Chowk, Farid Colony and Al-Falah Road. A Rangers spokesperson claimed that six criminals, including militants and Lyari gang war criminals, were arrested and weapons were found in their possession. However, the official desisted from disclosing identities and current locations of these suspects.

Separately, a Karachi police spokesperson claimed that they had conducted 92 raids and eight encounters with the criminals in which 105 criminals were apprehended. Officials said they had seized five hand grenades, rifles and narcotics in their raids.
