After receiving reports that Makhdum and Kamran were arguing with each other, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif sent his Political Secretary Dr Asif Kirmani to Sweden to make an inquiry.
Kirmani reported back to the prime minister that the two were not on talking terms and Nawaz was forced to ask them to return to Pakistan, where a more detailed inquiry will be made.

@Kizilbash: And I agree to your and Aka's position on the Commercial Counselors/Attaches who get the posting mostly due to political connections nevertheless, some are really talented and can deliver. In this case, the Commercial Counselor did have a lot of political clout, that is the reason, she was posted. And secondly, after the clash, it should have the Commercial Counselor, who should have been recalled. Recalling the Ambassador was the worst thing, the Prime Minister could do. The guy was about to retire in a few months in any case. But if you and Aka think like this for everyone, then its a generalization.
@Kizilbash: I have more experience than you of experiencing the embassies, knowing the people in these embassies and those people who complain about the embassies, even if you yourself are in Sweden. Surely you have a little experience but that is only one side of the story. And surely what you have said does make a sense but that is also only one side. What Aka said, is just a sweeping generalization. And I did not know that you both were given the authority to declare what's right and what's wrong. And the truth is bitter for you and Aka as well. Surely you will ask the same question about me. I will refer you to the first line of my reply. It is enough to make anyone realize what I am saying. If you or Aka are put behind the window, then the second day, the mob would be chanting slogans against you and Aka. Have you ever realized what is the criterion for pleasing the people. Those very people, who don't even dare to say any word, go like a sheep with correct documents, make a queue and wait for there turn and pay whatever the fee , only if the guy is a white guy. These very people, go to the Embassies with a presumption and prejudice, their documents are wrong and if they are told to wait or correct their documents or deposit a penny in the Government kitty, they get a heart attack and start harassing the embassies's staff. And these are the people, who bribe and harass the embassies in order to make their own profits and political career. They destroy the system for their own benefit but it works the other way as well.
Mudathir Shah it is you have no clue what you are talking about and have no courage to face the truth. Aka is talking a lot of sense. You should learn to face the truth even if it taste bitter. We all know very well how Paki embassies are useless and corrupt. And particularly those attaches & counsellors from various services in pakistan who just need 40% marks to qualify for those counsellors positions are known to be a liability than any help. Read the link posted by Jamil on March 6. Are you among one of them? Because listening the truth upsets you. Go and ask the people in Sweden and other countries how they are treated by the embassy staff and how they are deprived of getting even routine job done without hassle, approach, and bribe.
@Aka: You have no clue what you are talking about. In stead of hurling useless allegation, learn to learn the reality and then give your opinion which is currently of lowest level.
Its neither Sajjad Kamran nor Ayesha Makhdoom which has damaged the national prestige, its the Seth Nawaz Sharif. Clashes do occur in the offices, however, now that the Prime Minister cum Foreign Minister Nawaz Sharif has recalled both, what message has gone to the Govt of Sweden and the diplomatic corps in Stockholm. This is the least desirable way to resolve the issue. Ask any one who has worked with Sajjad Kamran, and they will tell you how noble soul he was, how competent he was, how dedicated he was. A man who minds his own business, who treats everyone with respect, who does his job with utmost devotion. In any case, he was retiring in two months. The Prime Minister should have waited and refrained from this step. A grade 18 officer was able to topple a grade 21 Ambassador thanks to her political connections. Has the Prime Minster lost touch with reason and rationality. And all those readers criticizing the Embassies, its them who destroy its working and culture and then hurle allegations. Shame on such hypocrites.
A Commercial Attache has no business arguing with the Ambassador. This is violation of rukes and discipline. She should have gone through the proper channels if there were grievances.

how can you blame ambassador for all corruption...he was appointed few months back - a very nice and honest person with no political affiliation and selected via CSS exam
I have worked with Mr. Sajjad Kamran. The best of the human beings, in fact an angel. I pray that he comes out safe and secure.
For Allah sake, please bring all Pakistani embassy staff from Sweden back to Pakistan. We are sick of there bribery tactics, and other means of delays. Only 2 staffs are honest , and rest of them all corrupt. Please.
This might be the last item in the list of things affecting pakistan's image.
What else can you expect from feudals and political appointees? Shame.
