Power woes: ‘Govt to provide land for grid stations’
Hyderabad Commissioner says Sindh government is ready to overcome menace of load-shedding.

Jamal Mustafa Syed, the Hyderabad Commissioner, has said that the Sindh government is ready to overcome the menace of load-shedding and will provide land to establish grid stations. The commissioner was presiding over a meeting on Monday with officials of the National Transmission Distribution Company (NTDC) and the forest and revenue departments. He said that the proposed grid station in Matiari will be the centre for onward transmission of electricity to be produced through the Thar Coal Power project. He asked the officials to submit a feasibility report on the availability of public or private land for the grid stations.
