LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Monday summoned the capital city police officer on March 10 regarding the petition of a woman against police for allegedly killing five of her sons. She said she feared that her sixth son would also be killed in a fake encounter. Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi issued the summons on the petition of Saleema Bibi, resident of Gulshan-i-Ravi. Bibi said the Gulshan-i-Ravi and Sabzazar police had implicated her sixth son, Malik Rizwan in a false case and arrested him. She said she feared that he would also be killed. A law officer told the court that Bibi’s sons had been running a car theft gang. He said they had been killed in an attempt to flee from police custody. He said Rizwan was also involved in several cases of vehicle theft and was under investigation by CIA police. The court directed the CCPO to appear at the next hearing with Rizwan’s police record.
