FAISALABAD: A man and his wife were arrested on Monday for stealing mobile phones from patients at the Faisalabad Divisional Headquarters Hospital. The hospital spokesman said Ansar Ali, a resident of Chak No215-RB, and his wife had brought their son to the hospital for treatment two weeks ago. The boy was admitted to the Child Ward and Ali and his wife stayed with him.

He said Ali was caught red handed trying to steal a mobile phone from an attendant sleeping outside the Child Ward on Monday morning. He said the man woke up and raised an alarm over which security guards gathered and apprehended Ali. He said the security guards searched Ali and seized four mobile phones from him. He was later handed over to the police.  The Civil Lines station house officer said Ali told them that he and his wife had stolen more than a dozen mobile phones from attendants at the hospital over the past two weeks. He said their child was still at the hospital.
