Armed robbery: Two houses robbed

Police register separate cases against robbers but no arrests or recoveries made yet.

ISLAMABAD: Two houses were robbed in the jurisdiction of Lohi Bher Police Station during the last 24 hours. In the first incident, Muhammad Tariq lodged a report with the local police that four armed robbers broke into his house in Sawan Garden and held the inmates hostage. They made away with Rs500,000 cash, jewellery, a laptop and mobile phones. Meanwhile, Sheikh Naeem lodged a report with the same police that three armed robbers broke into his house in PWD Colony and took away Rs1 million cash, jewellery and other valuables at gunpoint. The police registered separate cases against the robbers but no arrests or recoveries have been made yet.
