10 people killed in separate road accidents
Deceased include three people from Hyderabad and five from Karachi.
HYDERABAD:
Ten people lost their lives in two separate road accidents late Friday night on the Super Highway which connects Karachi with Hyderabad.
The deceased include three people from Hyderabad and five from Karachi. The incident occured near Kandahari hotel in Luni Kot area on the highway.
According to Luni Kot police station SHO Ameen Solangi, the tyre of a Toyota Corolla car, bearing registration number AXG-786, burst while coming from Karachi. The car flipped over to the opposite side of the highway and hit a Toyota Cuore, with registration number AXQ-582, killing all the passengers travelling in that car.
The deceased - Haji Saeed Rajput, his brother Muqeem Ahmed Rajput and brother-in-law Khurshid Rajput belonged to Hyderabad’s Liaquat Colony town. Haji Saeed and Khurshid owned atta chakki (flour mills). Three other passengers, Manzoor, Noman and Sheharyar, were injured.
All the passengers who were killed in the other car — Gulzar Khoja, Saleem Khoja, Sumair Khoja, Ghulam Farid Arain and car driver Zakir Khan — belonged to Karachi.
In another accident between a van and coach near Nooriabad, 27-year-old Umar Daraz and 33-year-old Ali Muhammad Jokhio were killed while three more people were injured. The van, which was carrying passengers from Karachi to Hyderabad, was hit by the coach from the rear side.
