Police apprehend man in Pehsawar, recover bomb parts

The suspect has been shifted to an undisclosed location for questioning.

PESHAWAR: Police on Friday evening arrested a man from a medical center in Nishtarabad, Peshawar and recovered from his possession parts used in the manufacture of explosive devices.

Talking to The Express Tribune, a police official said that they had arrested Adil, a resident of Badhaber, who worked at a medical center and was allegedly involved in suspicious activities.

“We were watching him for the past few days and arrested him this evening in a raid,” the official said, adding that several batteries, primer cords and other articles used in assembling bombs were also allegedly recovered from his possession.

The suspect has been shifted to an undisclosed location for questioning.
