Militancy: Govt, opposition on same page, Shah

Present government should highlight main features of dialogue with militants if it wants peace, says Khurshid Shah.

SUKKUR: Opposition leader in National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah on Friday said that the government and opposition are on one page against militancy, adding that the opposition had given full mandate to the government to cope with the deteriorating law and order situation of the country and was ready to provide all possible assistance in this regard. He said the present government should highlight the salient features of the dialogue with militants if it wants to carry forward the peace process. Talking to the media at the airport, he said the Centre should resolve the issue of extremism and militancy and the opposition will support the government in its efforts for the restoration of peace.
