Police raid: Wanted militant held in Swabi

A suspected militant wanted by Nowshera and Swabi police in multiple cases of bombings was arrested in Gadoon on Friday. Mushtaq Hussain Khan, an official of the Gadoon Industrial Estate police, said they raided a house in Malikabad area of Gadoon and arrested Imran Syed. The official added the suspected militant was trying to escape but the police managed to nab him and shifted him to a police station, adding the accused confessed to having carried out several militancy-related incidents in the province. The official said the suspect was allegedly involved in blowing up electricity towers in Nowshera on October 26, 2013 along with several other bombings in Swabi and Nowshera.
