‘Honour’ killing: Shot dead by brother for seeking divorce
Police said Najma Bibi, a resident of Lodhran, had filed for divorce.

A man confessed to killing his sister for honour in Lodhran on Thursday.
Police said Najma Bibi, a resident of Lodhran, had filed for divorce. Police said Najma’s brothers, Muhammad Ashfaq Hassan and Muhammad Tahir Hassan, and their mother Shaheen Kausar were against the divorce. On Thursday morning, police said Najma’s family visited her at a Darul Aman (shelter home) where she had been housed, and demanded that she withdraw the case. When Najma refused, police said, Ashfaq Hassan shot her, killing her on the spot.
