Sacking and arrests: Balochistan teachers announce protest
Protest schedule is against the non-compliance to its 31-point demand charter by the government.
QUETTA:
Government Teachers Association (GTA) Balochistan on Wednesday has announced a protest schedule against the non-compliance to its 31-point demand charter by the government. Talking to the media at Quetta Press Club, GTA President Nawaz Jattak said the protest schedule includes plans of locking the offices, token hunger strike camps and laying siege around the Chief Minister House. He demanded of the government to reinstate the sacked teachers and withdraw the FIRs against the teachers who had been arrested from the Loralai examination centre or else they would follow the scheduled protests ahead. He said that GTA opposed the cheating culture in the examinations and its boycott should not be mistaken for promotion of cheating culture.
