Did you know? : Robin Thicke and wife Paula Patton have separated
Both remain silent on social networking websites, release joint statement to People Magazine announcing separation.
It’s splitsville for singer Robin Thicke and actor Paula Patton. While both have remained silent on social networking websites, they released a joint statement to People Magazine saying: “We will always love each other and be best friends; however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time.”
Robin and Paula, who met 22 years ago, married in 2005 and have a three-year-old son together, Julian Fuego.
Robin previously commented on his marriage to Paula: “We’re pretty sure we’ve loved each other for a few lives.” A couple of months ago, he told Prestige magazine: ‘I don’t know if I would still be alive in some ways if it wasn’t for Paula. She’s been my rock, my muse, my inspiration and I love her.” Paula added in the joint interview: “We’re best friends. We laugh a lot. But that’s our down time. We do the things you’re supposed to do, like work out, etc. We love to travel together and travel with our child.”
According to rumours, trouble in paradise first emerged after Robin’s raunchy twerk-filled performance at the MTV Video Music Awards with Miley Cyrus, followed by a picture of him appearing to grope a woman in September.
