Busted: Drug smuggling bids foiled

ANF seizes 1.2kg of heroin which was concealed in suspects' shoes as he was traveling to Dubai.

RAWALPINDI:
The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) on Tuesday foiled two bids to smuggle drugs and arrested two suspected drug traffickers. The ANF said that in the first incident, a team at Benazir Bhutto International Airport arrested Ghulam Yasin, a resident of Sargodha, and seized 1.2kg of heroin from him. The drugs were concealed in his shoes and he was traveling to Dubai. Likewise, another ANF team arrested Noraiz Khan, from Khyber Agency, near the Burhan Motorway Interchange and seized 1.2kg of hashish, concealed in his car (MHB-20). Separate cases have been registered against them under, the ANF said.
