MULTAN:
A man was arrested on Tuesday for beating up a health worker in Multan.

Police said Muhammad Abdul Ghaffar, a land owner in Bela Singh, attacked Rajida Bibi when she refused to stop administering polio drops to children in the area.

Minchinabad SHO Shafaat Ali said Ghaffar argued that the anti-polio campaign was against Islam. District Coordination Officer Syed Irshad Hussain Shah said the drive would go on for three days. He said the district government would ensure that foolproof security was provided to the health workers.
