LAHORE:

The Beaconhouse School System organised The Learning Festival on February 23 for students aged 3 to 5 and their parents. The festival took place simultaneously at 14 Beaconhouse schools in Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Hafizabad and Multan. The event was open to the public.

The programme featured activities for children and parents aimed at enhancing parental involvement in children’s development and learning, so that parents become active partners in their children’s learning process. The festival intended to emphasise the value of formative years in a child’s development and education.

The activities included snakes and ladders, picture puzzles, shopping cart, and little chef.

A large number of families attended the event.  Parents showed keen interest in healthy food options for growing children and prepared snacks with the little chefs.

The emerging technologies across curriculums area at the festival was the most popular among parents. Many parents and children also enjoyed storytelling.

Parents said they appreciated the collaborative and structured event.

They urged the administration to arrange more such educational activities for families.
