Rajasthan file appeal against termination
IPL team Rajasthan Royals challenges BCCI's decision of terminating agreement by filing petition in Bombay High Court.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) team Rajasthan Royals challenged the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) decision of terminating their agreement by filing a petition in the Bombay High Court.
The BCCI had terminated the agreement citing that the Royals changed their shareholding pattern without informing the governing council.
“We’ve tried to meet with the BCCI to understand the basis for the termination, which was received without notice,” said a Royals spokesperson. “We don’t understand what we’ve done wrong, and it’s our duty to our fans, employees, players and partners to pursue the matter.
“The matter is expected to be listed tomorrow.”
