A Vivienne Weswood hat, famously worn by singer-rapper Pharrell Williams at the 2014 Grammy Awards, is up for grabs. The 40-year-old won four trophies at the music awards gala last month, but it was his oversized accessory that had the TV viewers talking. Now he has given up the headwear for charity, reports contactmusic.com.

“I’m giving up the Buffalo Hat I wore to the Grammys to help undeserved kids get the educational tools they need. Our organisation, From One Hand to Another, is committed to bringing kids experiences that ignite their passions, challenge their minds and prepare them for success,” he said. In partnership with auction website eBay.com, Williams is offering the Vivienne Westwood-designed hat to benefit his non-profit organisation.

The hat went on sale Thursday, February 20, and within hours the bids for the item had reached $10,500 (6,301 pounds). The auction runs until March 2.
