KARACHI:
A man equipped with two TT pistols managed to enter in court premises due to the ill-equipped security arrangements at City Courts on Saturday.

Rizwan Waheed had gone to the court in a guardian and ward case where a parent-children meeting was due but before the meeting could take place his former wife got suspicious and informed the court that Waheed was allegedly carrying weapons.

Muhammad Yousuf Malik, a judicial magistrate in district east, called the police and ordered them to search Waheed for weapons. During inspection, the police seized two pistols from his possession, said the court sources.

The police, however, claimed that only one TT pistol was recovered from him, adding that that too was a licensed weapon and Waheed was released afterwards.

Sources said that the police released Waheed to hide their inefficiency and the poor security arrangements because of which he managed to enter in court premises.
