In line with the school of thought which promulgates co-curricular and non-conventional learning activities as a vital part of regular education, a Learning Festival was organised by The Beaconhouse School System, said a press release.

Held across ten branches in the school network’s northern region on Sunday morning, the event provided an opportunity for students and their parents to engage in a wide range of interactive activities to a constructive end. The festival included live music, sing-along sessions, stories by granny and a tableau on the four seasons. Other activities featuring at the festival included ‘Little Chef’s Corner’, where students concocted their own salads, sandwiches and milkshakes. The children were also seen enjoying creating chain stories on promethean boards, making musical instruments and participating in role plays. Activities such as the ‘Healthy Eating Calculator’ and ‘Nutritionist Talk’ were designed to educate parents on the diets of their little ones.

Among other innovative and informative activities were simulated model classrooms and e-Learning through tablets, where children learnt different applications like paint, alphabets and mathematics.

The festival was attended by a large number of students’ families, who appreciated the school management for organising the exciting event.
