Pakistan clinch blind cricket series

Hosts defeat India by four wickets in decisive one-day game.

Inspired by a brilliant batting performance from Mohammad Jameel and Nisar Ali, Pakistan clinched the blind cricket series 2-1 after defeating India by four wickets in the decisive game at the National Stadium in Karachi, yesterday.

The visitors while batting first posted a total of 365-9 in the allotted 40 overs, Katen Patel scored an enterprising knock of 118 runs. For Pakistan, Sajid Nawaz claimed three wickets while Mohammad Idrees took a single scalp.

In reply, the home team achieved the target in 37.4 overs for the loss of six wickets; Jameel and Nisar were the stars in the successful run-chase.

Jameel smashed 86 from 53 deliveries, while Nisar remained unbeaten on 83 runs off 41 balls with the help of 14 boundaries to steer the team to a win.


Patel was the most successful bowler claiming two wickets; on the other hand, Ajay Reddy claimed one wicket.

Patel and Nisar were adjudged the men of the match for their performance in the third one-day.

Pakistan won the first match of the series by three wickets at the Southend Cricket Stadium while India claimed victory in the second match with a 39-run win at the National Stadium.
