Pakistan-India agree to address each other's concerns in constructive manner

Progress made in normalizing the bilateral relations between two countries was also reviewed.

Pakistan and India have agreed to address each other’s concerns in a constructive and meaningful manner.

During the meeting of Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and Indian External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid on the sidelines of the SAARC Council of Ministers meeting in the Maldives, it was agreed that both countries would continue to work for the improvement in the bilateral relations and also agreed to address each other's concerns in a constructive manner, a ministry of foreign affairs press release stated.


The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere.

Both leaders expressed their satisfaction over the scheduling of meetings, at the technical level for cooperation in the power sectors and recent incident regarding Cross Line of Control trade and travel CBMs.

They also reviewed the progress made towards normalising bilateral relations since the meeting of the two Prime Ministers in New York last September.
