Old enmity: Head constable gunned down

A head constable of Larkana Police was gunned down near Empire police picket in the limits of Market police station.

A head constable of Larkana Police was gunned down near Empire police picket in the limits of Market police station on Wednesday morning. The victim was identified as Bashir Ahmed Isran. According to witnesses, he was coming to Larkana and was near a flour mill on Pir Sher Road when two persons riding a motorcycle started firing at him. He was seriously injured in the attack and was rushed to Chandka Medical College Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Market police station SHO Anwer Leghari said the police found the motorcycle abandoned near Jamali village in the guava orchids. Larkana DIGP Khadim Rind said it is possible that Isran may have been killed due to an old enmity. Isran left behind three widows and children.
