Tragedy strikes: Ten family members killed in accident

The victims include five women and five children.

Ten family members, including five children, lost their lives as the truck they were travelling in plunged into the Lyari River in Gulshan-e-Iqbal within PIB Colony police station on Wednesday.


Soon after the incident, rescue organisations arrived at the site and recovered the bodies and the injured. Following the rescue operation, ten bodies and the injured were taken to Civil Hospital, Karachi.

The victims include five women  and five children. According to MLO Aftab Channar, the women were between 20-40 years old while the children were said to be between the ages of two to four.

The occupants of the vehicle were relatives and were going to Lea Market from where they had to travel to Quetta.
