SUKKUR:

A complete shutter-down strike was observed in Ghotki on Tuesday against the murder of Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz (JSMM) leader, who was kidnapped on February 14 from Rohri.

The JSMM Ghotki president, Sahib Khan Ghoto, was kidnapped by unidentified men from Rohri on Friday, when he was on way back to Ghotki after a hearing of his case in the Sukkur anti-terrorism court (ATC). His bullet-riddled body was found on Monday near a railway crossing in Bhiria Road in Naushero Feroze.

After being informed of the incident, his nephew Ehsan Ghoto and lawyer Lal Bux Ghoto rushed to Bhiria Road and brought his body to Ghotki, where he was buried in his native graveyard in Jalal Ghoto village.  Sahib was arrested a couple of years ago by the police on the charges of possessing hand grenades and other explosives and he was in the ATC for that case. His murder sparked anger among JSMM leaders and workers, who took to the streets.
