Pakistan football team will play their first international match of the year against Lebanon at the Sporting City Stadium in Beirut today.
The national squad left for Beirut on Monday morning after a week-long camp in Lahore under the supervision of their Bahraini coach Mohamed Shamlan.
Shamlan selected the squad out of 30 players who appeared in the training camp, according to the assistant coach Hassan Baloch and captain for the tour Kaleemullah, Shamlan wanted to focus on young players.
Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) secretary Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi said that a young team will be pitted against Lebanon’s experienced side.“We have at least five very young players,” Lodhi told The Express Tribune. “We are expecting the team to fight hard. When they were leaving we told them that we should win this match.”
