The family members included three brothers, two women and three children.

The police and forensics team are currently investigating the crime scene and gathering evidence such as DNA and fingerprints.

I don't know if it's the defective security provided by an indifferent government or just the drastic turnover in social thinking, but I can only say that the moment your own family members are no longer safe is the moment you've hot rock bottom. Something has to change, and soon.
