Court exempts Gilani from attending OGRA case hearings
Gilani says PPP has always respected the judiciary and will continue to do so.

A Rawalpindi accountability court on Tuesday exempted former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani from personally appearing before the court to attend the hearings of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) graft case, Express News reported.
The National Accountability Bureau had nominated Gilani and former prime minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf in a reference regarding the allegedly illegal appointment of Ogra chairperson during Gilani's tenure.
Gilani and Ashraf both arrived at the court today, accompanied by a host of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) supporters.
While speaking to the media, Gilani said PPP has always respected the judiciary and will continue to do so.
During today’s hearing, Gilani’s counsel prayed to the court to exempt his client from personally appearing before the bench. The court approved the requested and adjourned the hearing till March 5.
