Security personnel conduct raid in the Gulshan-e-Buner area of Landhi.
KARACHI:
Two suspects involved in the Razzaqabad police bus attack were killed during a raid by security forces in Karachi, Express News reported on Monday.
On February 13, a bomb blast near a police bus in Karachi had killed 13 police officials, and injured at least 57 others. The explosion had taken place near the exit of the Razzaqabad Police Training Centre in Shah Latif Town area just as a police bus was leaving the premises. The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan had claimed responsibility for the attack, calling it an act of revenge.
The raid today took place in the Gulshan-e-Buner area of Landhi. It was conducted on a tip off but when the security personnel reached the area, the suspects threw hand grenades at them which lead to retaliatory firing.
Weapons and hand grenades were also seized during the operation.
