Kasur defeat Lahore in kabbadi final.

LAHORE: As many as 15,377 people participated in the concluding games of division-level games of the Punjab Youth Festival on Sunday.

As many as 606 athletes moved to the provincial games.

The kabbadi final was held at Iqbal Park Wrestling Stadium. Kasur defeated Lahore. The score was 32-23 in Kasur’s favour at the interval. The final score was 69-42. Muhammad Amir from the winning team scored 25 points. Muhammad Tariq and John Cena also contributed to the score.

MPA Mian Naseer Ahmed was the chief guest on the occasion.

He said the government aimed to revive the culture of sports through the Punjab Youth Festival.

“Kabaddi players have a bright future in Pakistan,” Naseer said.

As many as 3,869 players competed in various events in Lahore and 45 people moved to the next round.

In Rawalpindi division, 604 people participated and 151 people were declared winners.

Sargodha division saw 72 athletes in action and 18 returned victorious.

As many as 147 people took part in various games in Gujranwala division and 57 people moved to the next round.

As many as 560 athletes participated in Faisalabad division and 210 advanced to the next round.

A total of 22 athletes out of 44 players moved to the next round from Sahiwal division.

In Multan division, 979 people participated and three returned victorious.

As many as 42 out of 294 players returned victorious from Bahawalpur division.

DG Khan division saw the heaviest participation of the day with 808 participants and 58 winners.
