Close proximity: Astor-Neelum road construction soon
Minister for Excise and Taxation G-B says construction would reduce distance between Gilgit and Rawalpindi.
ISLAMABAD:
Minister for Excise and Taxation Gilgit-Baltistan Muhammad Naseer Khan has said that the government has approved funds for construction of Astor-Neelum Road and tunnel project. Talking to a private news channel, he said that work on the two projects would be started this year. He said Astor-Neelum Valley Road via Shountar would be alternative of Karakoram Highway and its construction would reduce distance between Gilgit and Rawalpindi by 8 to 10 hours.
