KARACHI:
Pakistan Scrabble Association’s (PSA) Horlicks 15th Inter-School Championship 2014 will begin on February 23 at the Beach Luxury Hotel.
In a press conference held at the venue on Saturday, the PSA announced the official opening date for the event.
According to PSA director Tariq Pervaiz, at least 70 schools are expected to compete.
Last year, the PSA observed a record-breaking participation of 680 students and Pervaiz feels that the tournament is expected to be a success this time as well.
“We are hoping that this will be a successful tournament,” he told The Express Tribune. “The championship is aimed at improving the skills of the students. We have also got support from the US Education Foundation. Their official was here to pledge their support to the event, so it is expected to be a good show.”
