‘Landlord brutality': LHC seeks report from Hafizabad
LHC complaints cell takes notice of alleged unleashing of dogs on 18-year-old youth.

The Lahore High Court complaints cell on Wednesday took notice of an alleged unleashing of dogs on an 18-year-old youth. The LHC has directed the Hafizabad district and sessions judge to look into the matter and submit a report on the steps taken by the police in a week. According to reports, a fifth grade was student kidnapped for ransom from Jagganwala. An FIR was registered against landlords Abdul Jabbar and Muhammad Abid. Muhammad Asif was witness in the case. The accused called Asif’s son Qasim, 18, at their dera. The report said they tortured the boy and set their dogs on him. Qasim was taken to the Hafizabad district headquarters hospital. The police have registered a case against them for attempted murder and arrested them.
