
Balochistan United faced a close competition from Diya FC Blue, national footballer Hajra Khan scored the winner in the first half of the match.
“The standard of football was great,” Diya WFC president Durdana Faisal told The Express Tribune. “The crowd also encouraged the players and overall it was a good environment.
Balochistan United had national players competing for them while Diya WFC featured younger U16 players.” The championship featured eight teams and offered cash prizes to the players.
According to the organiser and founder of Diya WFC Saadia Sheikh, the aim of the championship was to discover the talent from interior Sindh and cities like Mirpurkhas, Sukkur and Nawab Shah among other.
