Over staffing: Around 706 hired against rules in PTDC

Total 91 persons were employed on daily-wages, while 88 persons were regularised on recommendations of committee.

ISLAMABAD:
Around 706 employees were recruited in Pakistan Tourism Development Cooperation (PTDC) while ignoring the vacancies position and codal formalities in during last five years. During the last five years, total 91 persons were employed on daily-wages, out of which three were regularised earlier while remaining 88 persons were regularised on the recommendations of the Cabinet Committee, an official in the tourism ministry said. Around 32 regular employees and officers are working in the hotels and motels of PTDC in Manshera and Abbottabad districts. The tourism promotion body is running 35 motels, four restaurants and a hotel at the various tourist destinations in the country.
