Ahsaan helps Bulls stun Hawks

Claim four-wicket win on day three of Faysal Bank T20 Cup.

A whirlwind 43-run knock from Ahsaan Ali helped Larkana Bulls stun Hyderabad Hawks with a four-wicket win in their Faysal Bank T20 Cup match at the Marghzar Ground in Islamabad on Saturday.


Set a target of 157, the Bulls were provided a blistering start by Ahsaan, who consumed just 26 balls for his 43, hitting three sixes and as many boundaries even as wickets fell from the other end.

Mohammad Urs also contributed with an impressive show, remaining unbeaten on 41 off 29 with a six and four boundaries as the Bulls triumphed with two balls to spare. Earlier, the Hawks had posted 156 for five in their quota, courtesy knocks from Aqeel Anjum (43), Faisal Athar (35), Rizwan Ahmed (26) and Shoaib Laghari (26).

Dolphins edge past Bears

The Karachi Dolphins defeated Quetta Bears by 12 runs at the National Ground in Islamabad.

Batting first, the Dolphins posted 150 for five in their allotted 20 overs.

Khurram Manzoor made a steady 38 off 46 with five boundaries, while his opening partner Shahzaib Hasan provided the much-needed momentum by hammering 27 off 12, clubbing two sixes and three boundaries.

Skipper Sarfraz Ahmed then finished off the innings in style by scoring 31 off 20, studded with a six and three strikes to the fence.

In reply, the Bears only managed to post 138 for nine with Babar Rehman and Azam Hussain picking up two scalps each.

In another match, Pakistan T20 captain Mohammad Hafeez scored an unbeaten 73 laced with a six and 10 boundaries as the Lahore Lions defeated Bahawalpur Stags by eight wickets.
