Rewarding performance: PESCO celebrates diminishing line losses
CEO claims a 5% increase in recovery of outstanding dues.

Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) has improved its performance on the fronts of recovery and line losses in the province, said Pesco Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tariq Sadozai on Wednesday.
“We have brought about a 3% decrease in line losses and 5% increase in the recovery of outstanding dues in the province,” Sadozai said during a ceremony at Wapda House where company officials were rewarded for performance. The company has been meeting targets with the help of its board of directors, he added.
Lauding Pesco field formations for a job well done, the CEO shared the company was heading in the right direction with their assistance.
Certificates awarded to Pesco employees are in recognition of excellent services rendered, added Sadozai. Excellence awards were distributed among Pesco officials, including Line Superintendent Abdullah Jan, Pesco Headquarters Junior Superintendent Rafiuddin and lineman Amanullah.
“Pesco is currently incurring Rs3 billion in losses – this financial crisis can be overcome if we strive hard. I ask you to work for the betterment of the company. If Pesco earns profits, employees will also benefit,” the Pesco chief executive told participants.
Pesco Board of Directors (BoD) Chairman Malik Muhammad Asad Khan, former BoD chairman Hassanuddin Bangash, former CEO Muhammad Qasim Khan, USAID official Craig Vandevelde and a large number of Pesco employees were present.
