Search operation: Security forces arrest 21 suspects

Suspects shifted to undisclosed location for interrogation, to be released if found innocent.

JAMRUD: Around 21 suspects were arrested on the second consecutive day of security forces’ raids in Ghundi, Jamrud tehsil of Khyber Agency. Political administration official Ali Sher said security forces personnel raided hideouts in Ghundi, Sikandarkhel, Pump House, Sakhi Pul and Regi at midnight on Friday. He added checkpoints were also set up in various areas of Jamrud. According to Sher, the 21 arrested suspects were shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation and will be released if found innocent during investigation. On Thursday night, six suspects were arrested in a crackdown by the security forces in the same area. In a late night raid, security officials raided different hideouts and arrested the suspects.
